This privacy statement applies to the use of the HOST app, which is developed and owned by Christine Høst AS. The HOST app helps users to get an overview of income, costs and taxes related to their own houses and cabins.

Controller

The person responsible for the processing of personal data in Christine Høst AS is the chief executive, chairman and CEO Christine Høst.

Purpose and basis for processing

Personal data is collected in order to:

● Give you a personal financial overview of properties you register in the app
● Calculate and visualize income, expenses and tax conditions
● Offer you comparisons with anonymized statistics from other users

The basis for processing is your consent when creating a user profile, as well as the need to fulfill the agreement on the use of the HOST app.

Types of personal data collected

In order to provide the features the HOST app is built for, we collect the following information:

● Name
● Email address
● Login information
● Information about properties you register (type of property, location)
● Financial data you enter yourself, such as rental income, operating costs, maintenance, property taxes, etc.

We do not collect information from public registers - all data is registered by you as a user.

Use of data in aggregated form

The data you enter is also used in anonymized and aggregated form to create statistics and calculations that other users can compare themselves with (for example, average costs or income in a region). It will never be possible to identify you as an individual from this data.

Consent and control

By creating an account and using the HOST app, you consent to us processing your personal data in accordance with this statement. You can withdraw your consent at any time by deleting your account. All personal data will then be deleted within a reasonable time.

Storage of personal data

Your data is stored in the systems used for the operation and maintenance of the HOST app, and is deleted no later than 2 years after you have terminated the customer relationship, unless otherwise required by law (e.g. accounting obligations).

Sharing with third parties

We do not share your personal data with third parties, beyond the systems and suppliers we use for the operation and maintenance of the HOST app (e.g. hosting, payment, analysis). All subcontractors are subject to data processing agreements and are obliged to comply with applicable data protection legislation.

Access, correction and deletion

You have the right to access the data we have stored about you, and can request correction or deletion. You can do this directly in the app under "My account". If you have any questions beyond this, you can contact us by email.

Cookies

The HOST app does not use cookies in the same way as a website, but there may be app analysis technologies that collect usage statistics (completely anonymously) to improve the service.

Security

We are continuously working to secure your data through good routines and technical measures. Only authorized persons at Christine Høst AS and any subcontractors have access to your data, and only to the extent necessary for operation and support.

Your rights and complaints

You have the right to:

● Access to the data we have stored about you
● Have incorrect data corrected
● Have your data deleted
● Withdraw consent
● Complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority if you believe that we are processing your data in violation of the regulations
